Terms of Trade

1. Quote Validity — Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

2. Confidentiality — All quotes and invoices are confidential.

3a. Booking Fee — For larger or future projects where full details are yet to be confirmed, a non-refundable booking fee of 10% of the estimated project value may be required to secure your place in our schedule. This fee is deducted from the final invoice on completion.

3b. Deposit — A 50% deposit is required to confirm your project, order materials and commence work. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received. The deposit is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced. Prior to this, a refund may be considered at our discretion, minus an administration fee to cover scheduling and handling costs.

4. Payment — Full payment is due on completion of work. Invoice issued on completion. No statement will be issued.

5. Freight — The customer will incur all freight charges unless otherwise stated in this quote.

6. Variations — Any changes to the agreed scope of work may result in additional charges. Variations will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.

7. Quotes Based on Visual Inspection — All quotes are based on visual inspection of the item or information provided by the customer at the time of quoting. If the condition of an item differs significantly from what was described or presented, additional charges may apply. Any variation will be discussed and agreed upon before work proceeds.

8. Customer-Supplied Materials — Wanaka Upholstery accepts no responsibility for damage to, or unsatisfactory results from, customer-supplied materials including fabric, foam or other components.

9. Fabric & Materials Approval — Fabrics and materials selected or approved by the customer are accepted as suitable for the intended purpose. Wanaka Upholstery accepts no responsibility for fading, wear, shrinkage, or performance issues arising from customer-selected materials, including customer-supplied fabric (COM).

10. Ownership of Goods — All materials remain the property of Wanaka Upholstery until payment is received in full.

11. Claims — No claims accepted unless notified within 7 days of completion of work.

12. Penalty Interest — Penalty interest will be charged at 24% per annum (2% per month) on overdue accounts.

13. Access & Site Visits — Where on-site measurement or installation is required, the customer is responsible for ensuring safe and clear access at the agreed time. If access is unavailable, additional charges may apply for rescheduling or return visits.

14. Pick-Up & Delivery — Pick-up and delivery is available by arrangement and may incur additional charges unless stated otherwise in this quote.

15. Storage of Completed Work & Items Left On-Site — Completed work is available for collection within 7 days of notification of completion. Items left on-site pending a decision on whether to proceed will also be subject to storage fees after 7 days. In both cases, a storage fee of $10 per day applies unless prior arrangements have been agreed in writing. Wanaka Upholstery accepts no responsibility for any items left on-site beyond 14 days.

16. Delays Beyond Our Control — Wanaka Upholstery will not be held liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including supplier delays, freight disruptions, or material unavailability. We will communicate any delays as soon as possible and work to minimise disruption to your project.

17. Photography & Marketing — Wanaka Upholstery reserves the right to photograph completed work for marketing, portfolio and social media purposes. If you would prefer your work not to be photographed or published, please advise us in writing prior to completion.

18. Privacy — Your personal information is collected solely for the purpose of fulfilling your quote and will not be shared with third parties.
